Understanding the Annual Development Plan (ADP)What is the ADP?
Nairobi County's Annual Development Plan (ADP) decides what gets built and improved this year: roads, clinics, markets, water, lighting, and more. Every county must make one, by law, every year.
How does it fit the bigger picture?

CIDP: the County's 5-year vision (2023-2027).

Budget: once approved, the ADP guides how money is spent.

This is a digital addition to the in-person Ward forums, not a replacement.
What happens next?
Your ideas and priorities are compiled with input from all Wards and sectors into a draft ADP. Stakeholders review the draft, and it is then submitted to the County Assembly, by law no later than 1 September.
Where is the final decision made?
The Nairobi City County Assembly approves the final ADP. Elected representatives (MCAs) debate and adopt the plan, which becomes the basis for next year's budget.

Thank you for sharing your priorities and ideas. The submission phase for your Ward is now closed.
The County's Economic Planning team, together with Ward and Sub-County administrators, is now reviewing every idea submitted. They check each one for:

Clarity: Is it clear what the problem is and where it is?

Duplicates: Is it already on the list from the public forums?

Feasibility: Is it something the County can realistically plan for?
What happens next
Once this review is complete, a final, combined list will be published for your Ward, bringing together the original forum priorities and the new ideas from this platform.
You will then be invited back to prioritize this final list together with your neighbours, helping decide which projects matter most.

Every idea submitted here is kept and considered. Review takes a little time, but it ensures the list going forward is accurate and ready for a fair vote.

The County has limited resources. It cannot fund every project every year. Your vote tells the County clearly: this is what residents need first.
