Description
The School Meal Plan will be written together with our citizens. You can participate in the drafting of the Plan during three consecutive phases:
- Join the discussion about what are the most important school meal themes
- Submit proposals or ideas for schoole meals in the county
- Comment on the first and second draft of the Strategic Mobility Plan 2025-2035
The Problem: School Meals in Nairobi
Many children in Nairobi go to school without enough food. Some skip breakfast, others get only one small meal a day.
Because of this, children may:

have trouble concentrating in class

feel tired or sick

miss school more often
Schools want to give students healthy meals, but there is not enough funding, equipment, or support to reach all children.
A better school meals programme would help children learn, grow, and stay in school.
